Main Street
Managers from across the state met recently in Fayetteville along
with local and state officials for their fall quarterly meeting.
Highlights of the two-day meeting were a reception hosted by Mr. Don
Wyatt, in his home on Washington Street, and the premier of a Main
Street promotional film set to run prior to movies at the Lincoln
Threatre. The film was produced by Fayetteville Public Utilities as
a public service for Fayetteville Main Street, according to Susan
Hancock, Executive Director Fayetteville Main Street. After viewing
the film, The Lincoln Theatre and Fayetteville Public Utilities received
a
standing ovation for their participation in the project. "This
is a first for a Main Street program in the state of Tennessee and
the group sincerely appreciated their cooperation and support of the
project," stated Hancock. Hancock further noted that this was
one of the largest gathering of managers since the quarterly meetings
began a couple of years ago.
