Fall in Love with Fayetteville Festival

Fayetteville’s favorite fall tradition is back! The Fall in Love with Fayetteville Festival returns to the downtown square on October 4th, bringing a full day of family fun, live entertainment, and community spirit. From pumpkin decorating to hayrides, there’s something for everyone to enjoy. Here’s your guide to all the exciting activities happening throughout the day.

🚲 Witches & Warlocks Ride

Dust off your broomsticks—or in this case, bicycles—and join us for the Witches & Warlocks Ride! The bike parade begins at 3:30 PM in the interior of the square. Registration takes place in the Kids Zone by 3 PM, with a $20 entry fee. Get creative, dress in your witchy best, and be part of the magic!

🐾👧 Costume Contests

Get ready for cuteness overload! Bring your furry friends and little ones to the Costume Contests at the bandstand.

• 1 PM – Pet Costume Contest

• 2 PM – Kid Costume Contest

With a $5 entry fee, it’s the perfect way to show off those spooky, silly, or creative costumes.

🎨 Facepainting Fun

Kids can transform into lions, tigers, superheroes, or whatever their imagination dreams up with facepainting by the talented LCHS Art Department. Stop by the North Lawn between 9 AM and 4 PM to get in on the fun!

🐐 Kids Zone Adventures

The Kids Zone is a can’t-miss destination for young festival-goers. Located in Sir’s Lot, this area will be open from 9 AM to 4 PM and features:

• Bounce House & Slide

• Festival Games

• Plush Adoption

• Petting Zoo and Pony Rides (9 AM – 12 PM)

Entry is free, though donations are appreciated.

📸 Official Photo Scene

Capture your perfect fall family photo at the Official Photo Scene on the north side of the square. With pumpkins, hay bales, and festive decorations, it’s the ultimate backdrop for your seasonal snapshots. Open 9 AM to 4 PM.

🎃 Pumpkin Decorating

Roll up your sleeves and get creative with Pumpkin Decorating at the bandstand. From 10 AM to 12 PM, pumpkins will be available in $5 and $10 sizes (cash only). This hands-on activity is fun for kids and adults alike.

🚜 Free Hayrides

What’s fall without a hayride? Enjoy Free Hayrides from 10 AM to 12 PM, with pickup in front of First Baptist on Elk Avenue North.

Take a stroll through downtown and check out the festive displays from our merchants during the Scarecrow Stroll. Vote online for the People’s Choice Award and help crown this year’s fan favorite! Open 9 AM to 4 PM.

🎃 Guess the Weight of the Pumpkin

Think you’ve got a good eye for pumpkin sizes? Enter the Guess the Weight of the Pumpkin contest at the bandstand! Entries are due by 4 PM, and the best part—it’s free to play!

Pie Baking Contest

Do you have the best pie recipe in town? Here’s your chance to prove it! Join us for the Pie Baking Contest, where bakers of all ages and skill levels can showcase their culinary talents. Whether it’s a classic apple pie, a creamy chocolate delight, or a creative new flavor, we want to taste it!

Judging Criteria:
Entries will be judged on appearance, crust, filling, taste, creativity, and use of local ingredients. A panel of judges will score each pie, and prizes will be awarded to the top 3 bakers.

How It Works: 

Contestants must prepare pies at home and bring them to the event for judging.

Each pie should be submitted with an entry form and list of ingredients.
Judges will sample each pie and award points based on the contest criteria.
Winners will be announced at the conclusion of the event.

Prizes & Bragging Rights:
Top 3 bakers will earn prizes, community recognition, and of course, the honor of having the best pie around!
