Fayetteville Main Street Launches Community Survey to Shape Future of Historic Downtown
The Fayetteville Main Street Program, with support from Tennessee Main Street, has launched a community-wide survey designed to gather valuable input from residents, business owners, and visitors about the future of Fayetteville’s historic downtown district.
This short, 15-minute survey is part of an effort to create a comprehensive Transformation Strategy that will guide the work of Fayetteville Main Street for the next two years. Responses will help identify priorities and opportunities to enhance the district’s economic vitality, promote local businesses, support entrepreneurs, and foster a vibrant and inclusive downtown experience for all.
“We want to hear directly from the people who live, work, and shop in our district,” said Aimee Byrd, Director of Fayetteville Main Street. “Whether you’re a long-time resident or a first-time visitor, your feedback will shape the future of our downtown.”
The survey includes questions about how community members use downtown, how they travel there, their interest in downtown housing, and their relationship with the area. It’s open to everyone and is being distributed through Main Street communications, social media, local organizations, and public spaces.
The Transformation Strategy developed from this data will focus on:
· Strengthening local businesses and attracting new ones
· Enhancing the physical space and walkability of downtown
· Creating upper-story housing options
· Hosting events and promotions that make downtown a destination
The survey is available now and will remain open through July 7th. All responses are confidential and will be used solely for planning purposes.
After the data has been collected and analyzed by Tennessee Main Street, a Transformation Strategy Workshop will be convened, bringing together board members, business and property owners, developers, and City and County officials.
