Melvie Myrick has been a passionate force behind the arts in Fayetteville. As the owner of Backstage Performing Arts, she’s created a vibrant space where children not only learn to dance and perform but also build confidence, friendships, and lifelong memories.

A Life Full of Creativity and Community

When she’s not in the studio, Melvie enjoys sailing and tending to her chickens — hobbies that reflect her nurturing spirit and love for calm, creative moments. She describes the studio as a second home for many of her students, and says her favorite part of being a business owner is watching kids grow into themselves through the power of performance and community.
