Meet the Member: Tiffany Tunstill of D-Force Dance Company
When Tiffany Tunstill opened D-Force Dance Company in July 2023, she wasn't just opening a dance studio—she was creating the kind of supportive community that had shaped her own life.
Located on the Fayetteville square, D-Force Dance Company has quickly become a place where students learn much more than dance steps. The studio offers classes in ballet, jazz, tap, acro, hip hop, lyrical, contemporary, and praise and worship dance for students ages 2 and up. With continued growth, D-Force is preparing to expand into its upstairs space and introduce Darby's Dancers, a program designed specifically for children with special needs.
Tiffany's love for dance began when she was just six years old. What started as a way to help a shy little girl come out of her shell soon became a lifelong passion. By age nine, she was competing and training extensively, eventually earning numerous regional and national awards. She began teaching at age 22 and has since choreographed award-winning routines that have earned top honors at competitions across the country.
But for Tiffany, the most important lessons learned through dance have nothing to do with trophies.
When she was 10 years old, her mother was diagnosed with cancer. Through some of the most difficult years of her childhood, her dance teachers and fellow dancers became a source of strength, encouragement, and love. After losing her mother at age 16, Tiffany carried those relationships and that support with her, and today they continue to influence the culture she has built at D-Force.
"I want our students to gain confidence and friendships," Tiffany says. "My dance family helped me through some of the hardest seasons of my life, and I want our dancers to have that same sense of community."
One of Tiffany's favorite memories was the studio's very first class.
"It was surreal," she recalls. "We looked around and realized this dream had become real. Everyone was happy, everyone loved being there, and it felt like such a blessing."
That spirit continues to define D-Force today. Tiffany believes every dancer deserves to feel welcomed, valued, and supported regardless of age, experience level, or background. The studio prides itself on creating a positive environment where students can grow both on and off the dance floor.
Outside of the studio, Tiffany's world revolves around her faith, family, and her son, Ryker. She credits her faith as the foundation for everything she does and believes God has used the studio to bring together families who need encouragement, healing, and connection.
As D-Force Dance Company continues to grow, Tiffany remains focused on her mission: helping young people build confidence, create lasting friendships, and discover the joy of dance in a place they can call home.
We're proud to have Tiffany and D-Force Dance Company as part of the Fayetteville Main Street community.
