The Main Support - 3 Tips to Strengthen Your Business Identity - September 17th

Last Updated 9/19/2025

Building a strong small business isn’t just about what you sell—it’s also about how you present yourself and how customers connect with your brand. This week’s tips focus on clarity, creativity, and consistency.

1. Know Your Brand

Your brand is your business identity, and clarity is key. Make sure your business name and logo are original and not easily confused with others. Double-check for any existing trademarks, and avoid starting with a name that’s already common. A unique, clear brand makes it easier for customers to find you online, follow you on social media, and spread the word to their friends.

2. Get Inspired—But Stay Original

It’s smart to look at what other businesses are doing for ideas, but resist the urge to copy and paste. Instead, use that inspiration to do things differently and stand out. Maybe you like the way another business displays seasonal items—take that idea and give it your own creative twist that reflects your unique personality and brand.

3. Give Your Promotions a Name

Adding a creative label to your sales or specials makes them memorable and easy to promote. For example, if you offer 40% off a rack or table every Friday, brand it as the Friday40. Naming your ideas or campaigns adds a professional touch, creates excitement, and gives customers something catchy to remember and share.

👉 A strong brand identity makes your business easier to find, easier to love, and easier to remember. Which of these tips will you try this week?
